Behind every business are directors, shareholders and stakeholders with their own goals and ambitions. By building strong professional and personal relationships, we not only identify what those aspirations are, but work together over a long period to provide good financial advice to make key, quite often life changing decisions.

While training in dynamic and successful practices, I originally qualified in 2008 and started my own firm in 2010, before selling my business to Lawrence Grant and joining as partner in 2013.

The firm

I oversaw the formation of LG’s sister company, “LG Financial” responsible for mortgage and protection services in 2019, which has added another offering to the group’s services to support client’s needs; as well as the firm’s networking activities, which encourages team members to bring in their own clients and build their own client base through events and opportunities.

I also became responsible for the firm’s recruitment in 2020, which has seen key team members with strong prospects join and progress within the firm.

I introduced “study club” enabling all those taking exams to utilise the firm’s premises to study together in the evenings and on weekends, which has not only facilitated good exam results, but assisted with the culture of teamwork within LG.

Personal

A devoted and loyal football fan, I also relax by watching films and reading. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife Lynsey, my daughter Alicia and my son Josh.

What is your favourite book and why?

Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. I love the stories about what makes successful people successful.

What is your favourite film and why?

The Shawshank Redemption is brilliant. I love the way he plays the long game, calmly, patiently and cleverly planning his escape.

Who most inspires you?

My dad because of his hard-work, people skills and his ability to drive success.
